    Story

My little friend Peng Changyu is a for year old chinese boy who was born with many difficulties. His parents come from a rural area outside Wuhan, located around 10 hours drive from Beijing, China.

He was born with a congenital heart disease and also had difficulties digesting food. A little time after he came to this world he had to face two big surgeries ( Heart and Esophagus) and he did a great job. He can now eat and play like a normal child.

Peng Changyu is half blind and suffers total deafness. Specialists advice him to get a Cochlear implant. He is almost five years old and learning to speak at this age is of great importance. He cannot communicate due to his lack of hearing.

His mother returned to the big city ( Beijing) in order to work and be able to help her son, leaving Peng at home with his father.
That is how I met her, she works as a full time Nanny at my home and is helping me take care of my house and children.

This Operation costs 280.000 Rmb, its a huge amount of money and his family would never be able to raise that much on their own. I contacted a foundation here who helped us take Peng to the best hospitals for check ups at no cost, and I raised together with the Migrant Children Foundation and internations volunteers 30.000 rmb already.

I know we still have a long way to go, but we don't lose our hope. After this checkups we found out Peng Changyu's eye condition is also critical. Doctors say he will be losing his sight on the one eye that still works gradually, and we are desperate to help him learn to express his needs before his life turns into a silent darkness.

Please help us save him from this nightmare, he needs to hear in order to have an acceptable life. We can change his life! It doesnt matter how little you donate. Every cent counts! Thank you!!!

These are the Internations Volunteers who offered themselves to help us raise funds in Beijing. This was a Bake and Sell event organized in a sunday Market at a famous compound outside Beijing city. We sold cakes and pastry and were able to raise 3000 rmb.
