    Story

*** STOP PRESS **** We have lowered the target, as we have had a great response offline to our calls for help, and we really think we have a good chance of meeting this new target of £10,000 over the next week or so.

Please share this as far and wide as you can and know that you have helped Poole Town Football Club, and the Town of Poole fulfill its dream to stay in the National League, and have a realistic prospect of further advances over the next few years

Poole Town FC have struggled with ground grading issues since 1994 when we had to leave Poole Stadium and were unable to find anywhere suitable. We were migrants and had to share grounds with various local clubs. In order to move up leagues in the Football Pyramid your ground has to meet the specified criteria for the new league. Being unable to build or expand meant we have been Champions of the Wessex League for three years running before eventually satisfying the criteria for promotion to the Southern League South and West.

Another few extraordinarily successful years saw us promoted last season as Champions into what used to be the Conference South, now rebadged as the Vanarama National League South.

We have risen from step 7 to step 2 in 14 years, we have had 5 titles and 2 runners up positions in the last 8 seasons. We are a community club, with 30 teams below the senior side including ladies, youth and Ability counts teams.

During all of this time we have been searching for a more suitable permanent home while playing at Tatnam Field. This season we have the opportunity to put in place new terracing and other upgrades to enable us to stay in this league. Although relatively minor, these upgrade works cost money, and with our sponsors generosity we have managed to start this work. However we need £70,000 by end January if we are to have a hope of completing the work by the deadline of 31st March 2017
