Richard Kelly is a young man who has cerebral palsy and a learning disability although he refused to let this get in the way of day to day life.Richard is a very fun and lively guy, centre of every stage and enjoys a laugh with his mates. Richard is lacking strength and full use of his left leg and left arm. Richard recently had a operation to strengthen his leg and they discovered a glove that will help him regain use back into his left hand! This could dramatically change Richards life, helping him get involved in more activities, being able to chop and prepare meals and just simply live a little more independently! The NHS will not fund for Richard to have this glove although it will change his life so we have decided to take matters into our own hands. Richard attends Way Ahead Day service in Southampton which helps promote Independence and healthy life styles for Adults with Learning disabilities, Physical Disabilities and Mental disabilities. The Glove cost a total of £310! Lets see if we can change Richards life for the better
