Hello all! I'm raising money to send a child to the RFK UK summer camp for looked after children, a cause very close to my heart! Last year we were able to send 22 wonderful children to camp with the money you guys donated and this year we are setting our sights even higher!

So this year In the month of March I'm going to be dressed head to toe in purple... Every. Single. Day.

In 2014, there were over 93,034 children in the looked after system, it is likely that most looked after children have been subject to abuse. RFK UK (hosted by Capital City Church Cardiff) stems from the American charity ‘Royal Family KIDS’. RFK run summer camps, tailor made for looked after children of primary school age, giving them one of the best weeks of their lives! A week where they get to be whoever they want to be, a week where they are safe, loved and fun and self-worth building is of top priority! This also provides a week of free respite for their fantastic Foster carers. RFK is funded completely on donations and grants, there are no charges to Foster families or Social Services! All staff are volunteers and many of them have professional qualifications relating to working with children and young people. Last year was fanominal, and we can't wait to take the kids back again :-)
