Weʼve raised £125 to Help the RSPCA pay towards the care and treatment of abandoned and neglected animals over the Christmas period.

Funded on Friday, 9th December 2016

    Story

The RSPCA (Coventry, Nuneaton & District branch) relies heavily on charity donations to survive. The money helps to treat, feed and care for all of the dogs, cats, rabbits, birds - and many other animals that it cares for.

Many of the animals are abandoned or have been rescued from ill-treating owners - and those animals often need expensive medical attention from a vet or lengthy rehabilitation and training - all of which requires expensive treatment.

As an animal lover, I regularly donate to the RSPCA - however, the Christmas period is an extremely busy period as many dogs, cats and animals are given to people as presents - but unwanted by the people they have been given to. Many of these animals are then abandoned or neglected - and have to be taken in for care by the RSPCA.

With your help, you can help raise some money so that a donation can be made in time for Christmas to help the RSPCA care for animals in their centre at their busiest time of the year.

I am already donating dog food, cat food, dog and cat toys, pet bedding, bird food, hamster food, guinea pig food and rabbit food to help feed the animals over Christmas - however, I would also like to raise as much cash as possible for the RSPCA Coventry, Nuneaton & District branch (based in Coundon Wedge, Coventry) so that it can be used by the centre for vet costs, new equipment, animal food and toys, running costs - and anything else that may benefit the centre and it's animals.

Please help by donating anything you can spare - even a small donation as little as £1 can help buy a tin of dog or cat food.

Please note that this donation will go directly to the centre - not the Head Office - so you can be assured that the money that you donate will go directly to the care and treatment of animals only.

      Update from the Page owner

Hi everyone. The donation page has now closed -and £125 was raised in total via Just Giving for the local RSPCA centre! Thank you so much for your kindness. Your donations will make a huge contribution over the Christmas period. Once Just Giving have transferred the funds, I will be taking a cheque to the local centre - and I will post evidence below so that you can rest assured that your donation has gone to the centre. Thank you so much for your donations.

Hi everyone. Thank you so much to everyone that has donated to this page. You're help and support is much appreciated. With less than 24 hours left, could you please help by giving the page a final last push by sharing this page to Facebook, Twitter or any other platform you can use that may help to promote it. The RSPCA are really struggling for Chappie dog food and various cat food and accessories at the moment. Any donations could go a long way to helping solve that problem. Thanks again for all your support.

Hi everyone! Thank you all for your donations so far - you're very kind. I know sometimes people can be a little sceptical of whether the cause is genuine - so as proof, here's some evidence of previous donations. The receipt is a picture of the £62 donation raised from last Christmas's page - and the other picture is a picture of my sister and I handing over a cheque for £310 in the spring to help towards the vet treatment costs of a severely ill cat that needed vet care - costing the centre in excess of £600.

Our last rescue dog was from this branch of the RSPCA. She had a happy life with us until she died about 7 years later, aged about 14. Good luck reaching your target 🐶
