Chandan is a junior of my brother in college. He comes from a family with a modest background. His father is a farmer and his mother is a homemaker . He has four unmarried sisters and an 8 year old son. The cost of treatment for his Leukemia is very high and he has undergone a bone marrow transplant. He has taken his life savings and with the support of some sources been able to sustain his treatment so far.

As of now, he needs a significant amount of money to continue his treatment. He is also out of a job without any earnings and his son is not able to attend school regularly given his situation.

Chandan is a bubbly chaacter and so far is maintaining a positive outlook to life. His treatment has resulted in many complications including having an infection which affected his brain which is being treated. In Oct 2016 he was also diagnosed with TB and is being treated for that.

Chandan needs significant financial support to continue treatment and to support the family. Hence this request to all of you to reach deep into your pockets to support this cause. Whatever be the amount, big or small, will help in supporting Chandan in his situation.

Cancer is a disease that would have impacted many of us either directly or indirectly and cancer charities are close to my heart. Anthony Nolan and The Christies are two charities I am passionate about but this year I have decided to support Chandan in his pursuit to get back to a normal life.

Towards this I am running a half marathon. I have never run a half marathon before but preparing for it in all earnest. I sincerely seek all your support in making this fundraising a success. It would be great to exceed my target as every penny counts and you can see a direct impact in Chandan getting better.
