Weʼve raised £680 to help the local Parishes in Jamaica (affected by recent 2017 floods) rebuild again.

    London, United Kingdom
Funded on Tuesday, 19th September 2017

    Story

We have come up with Reach JA as a way to aid those affected by the recent flooding in the following Parishes; St. Mary, Portland, St. Thomas, Kingston, St. Andrew, St. Catherine, Clarendon, Manchester, St. Elizabeth and Westmoreland. We wish firstly raise funds to be able to make our ReachJA a permanent non-profit charity. Secondly we aim to help provide resources to the local Parishes hit with items such as infastructure, non-perishable food, clothing etc. This is something that is very close to our hearts.

We are also saddened at the fact that this has not been reported in the news and wish to draw as much attention and support for JA.

We shall also be doing special events or doing activities to get to our goal!

    Thanks for your support.

This has been decided as there of course have been so many events happen this year and feel we will not reach our target as we are not registered as a permanent charity. The aim is to still set up a permanent charity but ensure for now they get items. A full breakdown in the next few weeks will be sent. Thank you and God Bless.xx

Good evening all! We wish to start off by thanking everyone who supported our just giving page and would like to provide an update. Our page time came to an end and we therefore did not hit our target of wanting to raise £10k via just giving. Therefore with the money raised (being a net of £637.15 after just giving fees) will purchase items promised send them to a local Parish St Catherine......

Based in South East London and after seeing the devastation of the floods, we decided to act and do something to help not just relatives or people we know in Jamaica but also the local communities that have been affected. We also want to set our ReachJA as a permanent charity
