Story
1 OUT OF 2 OF US WILL GET CANCER IN OUR LIFE.
WE NEED JUST 100 THOUSAND PEOPLE TO DONATE £1 EACH TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE..In memory of those it's too late to help.
Cancer patients who practice yoga as therapy during their treatment often refer to their yoga practice as a life-saver. ...
We as yoga teachers promote it as a natural way to help you relax and cope with stress, anxiety and depression. It can help enhance your mood and well being.
Some people with cancer who use yoga say that it helps calm their mind so that they can cope better with their cancer and its treatment. Others say that it helps to reduce symptoms and side effects such as pain, tiredness, sleep problems and depression.
1. Yoga Helps Manage Depression, Fear and Anxiety
2. The “Mood Boost” Effect: Exercise produces endorphins and endorphins improve your mood. A regular gentle yoga practise allows the body to release endorphins so you can instantly experience a positive boost in mood.
3. Helps to Manage Physical Pain
4. Yoga Community Can Provide Support:
A support system is crucial to coping with the emotional toll of cancer, not only for those suffering but for their loved ones as well. There is great value in the support of community for those in any stage of remission, meeting and talking with others who understand what you’re going through.
Yoga can be life affirming, whether you are a cancer patient, survivor or supporting someone who is fighting the battle of their life.
A hatha yoga teacher practising reiki & crystal healing, reflexology, Indian head & Thai yoga massage. Lisa is also a medical tattooist of 12 years, offering life changing areola tattoos after breast reconstruction and eyebrow tattoos after chemotherapy.
Laying in a field of sunflowers, covered with the smell of serendipity, warmed by the blend of what could be either a sunset or sunrise engulfed in love is where our future lies..in memory of Tony O'Connell who passed away from cancer 21 Sep 16.
