A PLEA FOR HELP.
================
MARINA STREET CAT GEORGE IS DYING.
=================================
Many of you know George. He has been a resident at the Marina for nearly 15 years. Unfortunately, George has kidney failure and acute anemia. He has been at the GibVet Clinic for over 4 weeks where tests have been tirelessly carried out in the hope that we could get him well enough so that he could be returned to the place where he has lived all his life. However, due to a rapid deterioration of his kidney function we realised that this would no longer be possible and faced a race to find him a foster home so he could spend his final days surrounded by warmth, love and most importantly quality of life began.
Today, this has been achieved and George is now in a loving home where we will continue to monitor him and keep everyone up to date, but his vet bills continue. Save Gibraltar Street Cats survives on donations only. We have set up this Just Giving page to please ask for help in paying towards George’s vet bills. George has had numerous ongoing tests, x-rays, special food, drips, hospital boarding fees and the list goes on and on and will not end until it is time to say our final goodbyes to him but the time is not now. George is alert, eating, drinking and exploring his surroundings with what you can only describe as a smile on his face after being so long in a cage. Please help us keep this going for us long as he needs.
George is dying but by donating for his upkeep we can say thank you George for those wonderful years he has given all who crossed his path.
Thanking you in advance,
On behalf of Save Gibraltar Street Cats (Registered Charity No.269)

7 years agoTo his foster mum I have this to say, those extra 2 1/2 months that George has had is due to the love, dedication and care that you showed him. You opened your heart and home and put everything on hold. You didn't care that George used training mats for a litter and would move them around to wherever George wanted. You followed instructions, injected him with fluids time and time again though you hated doing so as George was left with marks and scabs in his frail body but still he would endure and let you do it.
