This year to show support to the voluntary work theses guys do I will be running the Brighton marathon and I need your help.... Yes that's right the fat lads going to do the miles.

These guys are a highly trained team of volunteers with every dog handler and dog support being a qualified and operational member of Kent Search And Rescue, ready to deploy rapidly alongside foot, bike and boat teams in order to undertake effective search and rescue operations.

What do search dogs do..?

Search Dogs are trained to find missing people by various means such as air scenting, trailing and tracking. These are very efficient methods of searching large areas quickly and does not always require items of clothing or effects of the missing person.
NSARDA Kent train and qualify air scenting search dog handlers and dog supports to operate as search dog teams.

NSARDA Search Dogs are used to search for the many different types of missing people such as hill walkers, climbers, the elderly and confused persons that may be suffering from Alzheimer’s and Dementia, those that are despondent, children, and sometimes victims of crime.

In 2016 we deployed dogs to almost 80 searches in Kent.

In the last 8 Years we have deployed on more than 400 searches.
