So back in January we made the dire mistake of signing up to a half marathon. It's on Sunday and both Selina and I are dreading it because we basically haven't trained for it.
The only thing that could make it sweeter is if we can raise some money in the process.

We've decided to raise money for MEND. For those that don't know of MEND, the only way I can describe their work is as "incredibly important." It's no secret that it's a pretty difficult time for Muslims, that's not going to disappear anytime soon but MEND seek to tackle Islamophobia across the UK, raising awareness to British Muslims and encouraging them to get involved with the media & politics.

We're doing this for all the Muslims who have ever felt like being Muslim was something to be ashamed of.

Remember the sensational front cover by the Sun claiming that 1 in 5 Muslims had sympathy for Isis? Mend were the ones who lobbied for an apology for the Sun. That is just one of the many incredible things they have achieved.

They've been around for just over two years and achieved some incredible things. Even if you have a £1 to spare.
