Story
At Severn View Residential Home in Chepstow we care for, and support 26 people; many of whom are living with dementia. Whilst dementia can be a cruel disease, we do know that it is possible to live well with dementia. An important part of this is having free, safe and open access to outside spaces to be busy gardening, spend time alone or with friends and feel the sun and wind on your face.
By developing our existing spaces we will create a place where residents are actively involved, whether this is gardening, the opportunity to enjoy the wildlife, wander around specially designed walkways, sit in the sensory garden, hang out the washing or stop by for tea with friends and family. A garden designed would give a sense of freedom and independence, together with benefiting from the delights, that we take for granted, of being free to indulge in beauty of lovely garden.
Through photographs, welcome to visit Severn View.
