***Tenacious Jen is taking on the historic Great Midlands Fun Run to raise money for local autistic girls.***

Returning to the event on the 04/06/17 for the 3rd time, Jen is hoping to smash the course in less than 90 minutes, beating her previous record. Jen never runs away from a challenge and even injury and the British weather has never stopped her before.

Jen is autistic but only received a diagnosis as an adult. This, unfortunately, is not uncommon for women as the diagnostic criteria are based on the male presentation. She works tirelessly to raise autism awareness and support local families and autism causes. She is also a sought after public speaker. We are delighted that this year she will be raising money for Somewhere Over the Spectrum.

Somewhere Over the Spectrum is a community group supporting girls with autism, and their families. Our meetings provide a safe space for autistic girls to be themselves with others who 'just get it.' It is also a valued opportunity for parents to share ideas and experiences and support each other.

Our families meet on a regular basis throughout the year. We are raising money to buy sensory and play equipment for the girls to use at our meetings, training for parents and some fun activities for the girls.
