We have set up this page as a way for those who wish to support our daughter Sophie with her sporting achievements. Sophie is six years old and was diagnosed with Achondroplasia when she was 6 months old. Achondroplasia is a form of dwarfism. She has always been an active girl and at the age of 2 and half she took part in her first National Dwarf Games organised by the Dwarf Sports Association UK. She has since taken part in regional events and other National games. These events enable Sophie to take part in sport with others who have dwarfism on an equal footing.

Her confidence since taking part in these events has grown and she has developed strong friendships with other members.

Any money raised via this giving page or in our own fundraising will be put into Sophies sporting bursary which is managed by the Dwarf Sports Association UK and will be used to cover the costs for her to attend events such as the national games and possibly represent GB in the World Dwarf Games. National games and national Boccia and badminton games occur once a year in May and October. The World Dwarf Games occur every four years and the next one is in Guelph in Canada in August 2017 http://worlddwarfgames2017.org/
