JOTT Date - short for Jamboree On The Trail, is a national event in scouting where all scouts do a walk or hike on the same day.

This year in Southmead Scouts, the Beavers will be doing a challenge day at Brockmead Scout Campsite and the Cubs will be joining the Scouts, hiking along the trail above - from Gordano Motorway Services into Bristol.

Help us by Sponsoring those who take part in an effort to raise funds so that we can continue Scouting in Southmead and help give all our young members the chance to take part in future activities and events.

The donations you give will help us:
- Pay general running costs of the building.
- Pay for Badges that the young members earn throughout the year.

If we can raise over £200 in total, this excess money will help:
- Subsidise events and activities coming up this year.
- Contribute to the running costs for next year.

UPDATE:
Just thought I would sweeten the deal a little, on my honour I promise (assuming work agrees) that if we hit at least £200 total I will go to work in (as near as possible) traditional scout uniform: scout shirt, necker, shorts, bigs socks, boots and hat.

Note that going to work for me is: 20 minute train journey walking from Clifton station to Park street, as well as getting lunch etc.

So if you want me to suffer huge embarrassment then feel free to donate.

UPDATE:
Work has agreed, and has set the date to coincide with Sprint demos, I guess they are wanting to go for the maximum effect, with as many people there as possible... I’m talking 30+ in that meeting alone.

Assuming we hit £200+, I’ll be in uniform on 12th May.
