For eleven years I had suffered from an anxiety disorder which included anxiety ,OCD and panic attacks of which occurred everyday. Life was what I can only describe as a living nightmare.
In the Spring of 2015 the Tsunami of emotions came flooding in and struck me ,taking me into the depths of darkness, somewhere I never knew could ever exist.
I spent nine very long tiring months in recovery of this nervous breakdown/break through ,having to be signed off from work.
I had many years within this battle and I am now on a journey to save the lives of other people who suffer silently without the correct care and support.
Families lose their loved ones everyday to suicide, thankfully for my children they still have me, but without the guys from the Fenland Crisis team I'm not so convinced they would have. I have been the other side and understand that people often take there lives not through selfishness, but because they feel it would save their families from such a burden they feel they are to them.
The Fenland Crisis team came to visit me when I was in total despair they where there within the hour as they had to travel, they would talk on the phone with me during the night while my children slept until my panic attack would pass , they sat outdoors on the grass with me until I was calm again.
Nothing was ever to much for this amazing team.
So to show my absolute gratitude for saving my life I am going to climb several treks up the Snowdon mountains over 3 days to raise as much money as I possible can to give something back and to help save the lives of others from this horrendous illness that so many people suffer with and often in silence because the stigma of mental health in society is still sadly out there .
