I've seen some incredible goodness in people, had some wonderful help.

On the flip side I've been shunned because of the way I look and what I'm carrying.

And I've seen how incredibly quickly that opinion changes when people hear "I'm not actually homeless, I'm doing it for charity."

I've had dozens of blisters.

I've drawn blood from my shoulders where the old Bergen rubbed.

I've worn 4cm off the end of my walking staff.

I've spent all of my savings on food and upgrading kit as I've needed to (near hypothermia in Wiltshire because the jackets not good enough? No chance in Scotland).

I've spent quite a few nights where I've got up in the morning and the groundwater has still been frozen.

I've really struggled to leave the warmth of friends places knowing that I've got cold and solitude coming up.
