The Stomaltherapy and Wound Management Clinic has been run by SRN Rudo Mutekedza for the past 18yrs. She had dedicated herself to her patients needs who mainly have ostomy, costomy, urostomy and specialist wound care needs that basic trained nurses are not able to treat. Her clinic is one of a kind and she is the only qualified Stomaltherapist and Wound care specialist in the whole of Zimbabwe. With the decline of the economic situation in Zimbabwe, Mrs Mutekedza could hve sort greener pastures , but decided to stay and provide her vital life saving services to desperate people. She has had to forgo having a salary to cater for her many patients who are not able to afford her services and products. The clinic is now in desperate need of funding for it to be able to continue to care for the large number of people who can't afford medical services or suplies tht Mrs Mutekedza regularly ends up giving on a charity bases. She is a remarkable strong woman who is trying to provide crucial care needs for desperate people. I have seen first hand the life saving, life changing work she gives to her paients. However in oder for the clinic to continue to provide these vital services it is in great need of equipment, medical supplies and funds to help it's day to day running. At the momment we have managed to secure some suplies but it is very costly to get them to Zimbabwe as it cost £9 per Kg to ship goods. Your money will see that the donated equipment get to desperste patients and enable the clinic to continue to facilitate the runing of much needed services. Zimbabwe is my homeland and I seen first had the desperation and distress the clinic is trying to elevate. Mrs Mutekedza is flooded by desperate requests for her help but without funding, the running costs of the clinic are becoming too much for her to bear alone. She does not recieve any government funding or support but she still avails herself to those in need. Your donations will definitely change alot of lives.
