Story
Teddy20 is a children's cancer charity founded by Owen Newton and his family after they lost their 10 year old son & brother Ted to Ewing's Sarcoma, a very rare bone cancer. Teddy20 began in 2009, with a charity cricket match organised by Ted's father Owen Newton. The overwhelming success of the event, which raised £5,000, inspired Owen and his family to found Teddy20. From then on, the charity has continued to grow and organises fundraising balls, challenges and Teddy Rocks Festival.
I will be taking part in the next Teddy20 Challenge, the Le Teddy Tour 2017!
Le Teddy Tour 2017 involves cycling over 309 miles from the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris, France to Teddy Rocks Festival, Blandford Forum, UK from 25th April to 28th April to raise money for charity.
I have a set target of £5,000.00 and have chosen to split any proceeds raised between Teddy20 and Soi Dog.
Soi Dog Foundation is a not-for-profit, legally registered charitable organization in Thailand, the United States, Australia, the UK, France, Canada and Holland. Soi Dog not only fights against the anti dog meat trade but also helps the homeless, neglected and abused dogs and cats of Asia. They work tirelessly to end the dog meat trade throughout the region and responds to animal welfare disasters and emergencies.
You can help by sponsoring me on this epic journey which will help to continue the support of children and young people by providing financial support to the families who may be struggling to meet the everyday demands of their child’s treatment. As well as supporting the hugely neglected and abused dogs and cats.
Please help make a difference in our community and others by donating a sum however big or small and help me to reach my target.
Thank You,
Alan Parker.

7 years agoTo the person or organisation who has very kindly donated the £240.00 we all thank you. I know with the minimal amount of training we have done to prepare for this event I know I'm going to suffer but I can guarantee I will complete it. Updates during the event will be sent out just to confirm how much we are suffering but hey it's for 2 very good causes. Especially when I can say all the proceeds are going to where it is needed rather than being wasted on salaries or admin costs. Again thank you.

Again many thanks to all. If you haven't donated yet and feel the urge to feel good about yourself today then please do what you can. Its for two great causes that ensures all the money go to where it is needed. Alan
