I've known Amanda for years. Her eldest and my son are in the same class at school. I'm so sad to hear her diagnosis confirmed but was so happy for all the lovely support given to her on the facebook slimming world sprotborough group yesterday and immediately started to think about what we might be able to do for her.
So ive come up with this idea....
Please contribute what ever you can, even if it's just £1. I'm sure you'll all agree that Amanda is so giving to others and so I thought it would be nice to be able to give something back to her to show her our support through what must be a very difficult time for her.
Please keep this secret from Amanda as I'm sure she might feel embarrassed if she knew I was doing this but I know she will really appreciate this gesture.
I will get flowers sent to her as soon as the amount has reached over £30. And other money raised will go untouched until donations stop coming in. Then I will get a hotel voucher for the remaining amount to give to her so she can choose a night away that suits her. We can present this to her in one of the sw groups.
