Some background info on the charity we are volunteering for

Health Point Foundation has set up a dental unit, the first of its kind, for the camps in Northern Green to provide refugees access to emergency dental care.
The dental clinic is in the Diavata camp, located close to the city of Thessaloniki where close to 2000 refugees are based. This is where our base camp will be, but due to the great need for urgent dental care in many camps we will be visiting other military run camps. These camps include: Nea Kavala, Oreokastro, Derveni, Sindos Karamanli, Giannitsa,Cherso Camp and Nea Raidestos.
For the project to be successful and for it to be sustainable it needs a strong team of volunteers who are flexible and willing to do what it takes. So Syed and I will be going to volunteer in the camps on the 28th of April 2017 to provide dental care by volunteering for the charity Health Point Foundation.

Syed is a dental surgeon with extensive experience in Oral Surgery and hopes to use his time there to help the people stuck in those refugee camps.

We are hoping to raise funds so that we are able to take some medical/dental supplies with us and would really appreciate some help!

All donations will be making a huge difference to the refugees, even if its a few pennies, enough to buy paracetamol, it will be hugely appreciated!
