Story
Tadcaster Flood Action Group has been established for over four years, self funded in preparing for floods.
Since Boxing day the group has developed into a group of 28 volunteers with some amazing donations of PPE, HF radios and two Hilta C100 flood pumps!
The group aim is to help prepare and prevent surface water and river flooding were possible. To do this we need to ensure the group has the correct equipment and maintained resources.
The group has many plans for the rest of 2016...
Prevention packs for businesses and residents in Tadcaster...funded by an NYCC grant.
Flood advice fair in the Town supported by many agencies.

Any funds raised will go towards prevention, preparation and running costs of the pumps and only used by Tadcaster Flood Action Group!

8 years agoThe group really need to purchase some life jackets for our flood pump operators and Coordinators, the group will always move away from moving water! These jackets will provide the optima safety for the crew dealing directly with moving the water way! The jackets are £60.00 each and we ideally need to purchase 6!

8 years agoAnother job done... Hoses now cut into two... 2 X 50 metre hoses rather than one heavy 100 metre hose! Just flood pump two to do with a test run...😄

8 years agoOur just giving page has gone live, we appreciate all donations as a group and this does not need to be finances, support us by being a volunteer! All funds received will go towards developing the group further in preparing and preventing floods in Tadcaster. Many thanks for all of your support!!!
