Story
Our fundraising for Jamie's forever home has got an outstanding response from our local community. We are still a long way from our target but with recent events we are fighting every step of the way. Jamie continues to be in woodend. It has been discussed that without a home to adapt very soon, Jamie will be placed in a care home after his operation. We are running out of time to fund a suitable home to adapt, and the council, although sitting with over 30 empty homes in the area, will not fund an extension to a council home for suitability for Jamie's needs. The social funding will only take effect if and when we have our own home that needs basic adaptions to accomodate Jamie coming home. Jamie will never have the future he hoped and planned for. He will never be able to take our girl to the park, to the pool or drop her off at her friends. It is far from the life we all worked and wished for, but it's what we have. We want to be a family, and spend as much time and daily life together as possible. Being Jamie's main carer is something I want to do for my man, and my daughters daddy. I want to make sure Jamie is well looked after and has the best life and opportunities he possibly can. If anyone can even imagine how they would feel to be in our shoes, please give us your support x

7 years agoCraniotomy - Jamie has had his whole frontal skull bone removed to aid in swelling reduction after his road traffic accident. His last operation will be to place this back. Once he recovers fro this operation Jamie will finally be able to come home to us. This is taking longer than expected with setbacks he has had like meningitis, various other infections, and his balloon stretching having to be slowed down to prevent cracking of his skin on his head.
