Tempart is a unique way of approaching mental acuity, disabilities and illness. We use art based therapy in coalition with counselling.

We could explain the importance of having 'Anchors' which help people with mental issues, but we wouldn't want to take all your time, so we have summerised to the point how effective anchors are.

An anchor is a place which a person can revert back to in a moment of need. Most counselling does this by using a mental image or projection of an emotion. This works well but over time clients can forget this moment, forget to use their anchor and even forget the memory all together. This result in them being back at square one, feeling depressed or lost.

Tempart creates an anchor, a physical one, which can be touched, seen and felt each time a client looks at it. They can take pride in their art creation and find a moment of solace immediately.

Our preferred method at Tempart is through the medium of Photography, we do however use painting, crafts and sculpting for the same effect. We are also working on a visual and sound method which allows a client to act out their emotions in a safe environment.

We use counselling from professional counselors, trained to degree level.

We feel it is incredibly important to help people with mental needs now more than ever. This year, 1 in 4 adults will suffer some form of mental illness. This puts increasing pressure on the NHS and we are aiming to alleviate some of that pressure.
