- Swansea, United Kingdom
- Funded on Thursday, 23rd March 2017
Don't have time to donate right now?
Story
The Rucksack Appeal Swansea aims to supply Rucksacks filled with essential items to rough sleepers & homeless people whether they are first timers on the street or if they have been unfortunate to have their stuff stolen. I wish to be able to fund this as an ongoing campaign to provide Rucksacks as a starter pack to those that find themselves homeless or rough sleeping. I also aim to be able to maintain a supply of donations to help people throughout the year.
I volunteer in two organisations in Swansea and it has highlighted that it could happen to anyone at any time. Sometimes it can happen very quickly and people can be left without anything and not knowing where to turn. Most of us are just two paychecks away from being in a similar position.
If you can donate anything (even us forego a cup of coffee) to help it will be very much appreciated and go toward helping vulnerable people throughout the year!

7 years agoThis page will be coming to a close soon so I would like to put out an appeal to reach the target before it does. This money will be used to provide a bags of essential items for homeless & rough sleepers in Swansea for the summer. In August there are reduced facilities available and and therefore people don't have access items we often take for granted. I will be hosting an event at the 360 Cafe on Saturday 8th April and all are welcome. https://www.facebook.com/SwanseaRucksackAppeal/ Please liike my page for more details
