Tiana looks and seems like your regular 7 year old to the untrained eye.
Many of you know but some may not that Tiana has Tourette's syndrome, SPD and is currently being assessed for Autism.
Last week we took Tiana to have a brain mapping done at The Brain Collective in Harrogate. This is a private service and the only one of its kind. This is not a available on the NHS.
They told us that the majority of Tianas brain is not functioning how it should be and the different parts of her brain do not communicate. Tiana is incapable of dreaming and cannot picture things in her mind. To put this into short simple terms,
Tiana whilst fully awake, alert and active has the same Brain Activity of someone that is unconscious, Tiana is living in a fog. 😥
We were told that this will only deteriorate and we a scared and worried that Tiana will not be able to live a normal life. She wants to be a doctor, but that will not be possible in her current situation.
The only way to stop this is by Brain training Treatment , of which she needs 3 courses due to the severity of her brain functioning.
Each course will cost £2500.
We are asking all our friends, family and even strangers to help us raise this money in a desperate bid to give our daughter a better and normal life with a brighter future.
Any extra money that is raised and not needed will be given to Tourette's Action UK.
