Story
After my uncle died suddenly, his little Jack Russell Titch needed a new home. There was no one else that could take Titch so after much consideration I took him on as I didn't want to let my uncle down and re home his dog with strangers, it was bad enough Titch had to go through losing the person he spent every day with but to sit and wait in a kennel for a new home was not something I was going to allow to happen. He needed someone he knew. Due to the new laws on dog chipping I needed to chip Titch the first week I had him. I did not have time to get him insured at this point and at his appointment to get his chip he was diagnosed with luxating patella in both back knees. (A luxating patella occurs when the knee cap moves out of its natural position). He holds one of his back legs up and his other one is locked straight. He hops along on three legs most of the time. He is in a lot of pain after walks and in cold weather. He struggles to get comfortable when laying in his bed and finds it hard to settle due to this problem. He loves his walks in the woods or the beach or park but we have to cut them short to manage the pain he experience the day following his walk. As he has been diagnosed with this already any insurance wont help with cost associated with it. I was working at the time I took Titch in but due to health problems I am currently unable to do so. I have tried to get help from many organisations such as PDSA Blue cross, RSPCA, Dogs Trust ect with out any success. I'm trying fund his X ray to see if there is anything we can do to help him walk properly without pain again. we have had quotes from different vets and the X ray is about £400. He is currently on strong anti inflammatory tablets and Tramadol every day, If his X ray shows he is a candidate for surgery he could have a life without having to take daily tablets and hop about, he could run and jump and swim and do everything he wants to do. He deserves the chance to have it fixed.

We are raising money for an X-ray for Titches back and his back legs. The X-ray will help us to know what treatment is best for him. We might have found his condition in time so that we can get an operation to fix him up. The sooner we find out the sooner we can help him.
