In May 2017, I am going to be competing in a 12 mile course called a tough mudder in order to fund a trip to Zhodino orphanage.
This Orphanage is located in Belarus and was created to be a home to the many orphans found in Belarus. Belarus is the last dictatorship in Europe.
Many of these children were abandoned because of poverty, alcoholism or genetic mutation from the Chernobyl disaster, which still affects the lives of these children to this day.
The money raised will help transport me and my group to the orphanage with the charity "Leaves of Hope", whom the orphanage greatly depend on. We will be also be using your donations to take medicine, sanitary products and much needed toys to give these children a childhood.
The tough mudder itself is happening on the 7th of May and I chose to do this as a challenge in which I could push myself. It is a 12 mile muddy course with obstacles, these obstacles include a large amount of icy water, multiple walls to climb over, plenty of mud and an electric fence! However, in order to raise money for the children I will persevere through it.
