The University of Birmingham Boat Club, in partnership with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, is going to row from Birmingham to Paris without leaving the UoB campus grounds! We'll be taking to the rowing machines and smashing out half a million metres to cover the 502km distance from one great city to another.

We're doing this to fund the purchasing of desperately needed new equipment for our boats, specifically we're looking to invest in a new set of 8 sculling blades to help our existing athletes compete at a high performance level, and to allow us to have even more people rowing for the university!

As well as using the money donated to buy equipment, we'll be donating half of the funds we receive to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham to help them fund important care facilities such as:

Teaching and Pizza Nights as the Teenage Cancer Trust Young Person's Unit

Stays at the Fisher House 'home away from home' for military patients and their families.

Medical equipment for those in Elderly Care

Trees to be planted in the QEHB Orchards.

We'll be rowing from 8am-8pm non-stop outside QEHB on April 26th, so please donate to a wonderful cause!
