Ed Bilbey was a 17 year old boxer who sadly passed away after a boxing bout on Friday evening the 24th March 2017. He was a fantastic lad inside and out of the ring, a gent to all and with a great sense of humour a good laugh too. Ed was a boxer from the somercotes boxing gym in Derbyshire, ran by Jason Shinfield. Ed was a great boxer and was heading for a great future in the sport he loved, He loved his boxing and the gym was his 2nd home, training every moment he could and that showed in his boxing. Ed was a very well known lad in the boxing community.
Ed was a friend of ours and was a student on the AASE boxing course at UCB college in Birmingham, as Ed's team mates we would like to start a fundraiser in memory of Ed trying to raise as much money as possible trying to support and help his family at this difficult time.
