Story
On Saturday 8th April my wife & I, along with a group of our close and supporting friends will be walking from Whitby to Scarborough to raise money for the Adelaide Cancer Ward at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. Its a 21 mile off road route along the old railway line through the north york moors national park. Our dad was a loving and amazing man and a nut pot who did the most crackpot things for his children, but on 25th November 2016 he lost his fight against leukemia, one of the most aggressive forms the doctors had ever seen. A horrible experience for anyone before Christmas. He will be missed terribly, leaving behind his grandson of 3 years old and granddaughter of 1, a wife of 48 years, a daughter and of course me. He was fit and healthy on his 70th birthday last April so this was a massive shock to us all. We, as a family, will dedicate our whole life fundraising for cancer wards and Sue Ryder Nurses for the help he received and the care. It is the least we can do to help the people who helped him. We LOVED him so much and we owe this to him, he was the best dad in the world that we could have ever asked for. This fundraising site has been specifically set up to raise enough money to be able to hopefully be able to buy two comfortable reclining armchairs for the Adelaide Cancer Ward at Royal Berkshire Hospital so relatives can lay beside their loved one all night. They will be going through enough distress and discomfort as it is without having to spend all night sitting on a hard plastic moulded chair.

Dinner 44. I only know of you through friends who have booked you for a meal in December. I would love to win the meal but am glad to donate to such a worthy cause as I lost my husband to cancer.
