We're trying to organise a wedding for a 32 year old young man called Richie and his fiancé Laurie-Beth. Richie has a rare form of cancer called Sarcoma which has spread from his leg to his lungs. Imagine being told at 32 years old you didn’t have long to live and had a 7 year old child. This could happen to any of us.

It all started when we came back from an amazing trip in Thailand and Richie had a lump on the side of this left thigh. We called 101 and went straight to A&E with a suspected blood clot. After lots of bloods, scans and MRI we found out that Richie had cancer. Not only did he have cancer in his leg but it had spread to his lungs. Richie had chemotherapy within a few weeks. After his first cycle Richie was allowed home. At 7am the next morning I was woke up by a loud noise - it was Richie on the bathroom floor having a seizure, struggling to breathe.
I screamed to wake him up but he was unresponsive. When we arrived at he hospital Richie had to be put in an induced coma for 3 days. He woke up in intensive care. The last few months have been the hardest time of our lives. But we get through everyday because we love each other and I just can't imagine my life without him. I can't wait to be his wife.

We've had an amazing response from wedding businesses around the country who have donated their services but we still have to pay for registrar fees, food costs, any supplier overheads etc. Whatever we make over the £1750 will go into an account for Laurie-Beth and Richie's son.
