On 18th March 2018 I'll be running the Richmond Half Marathon in aid of Ace of Clubs Clapham.

Ace of Clubs is a family-like community providing transformative support for those who are homeless, vulnerable and otherwise marginalised in the area. The support provided includes shelter, food, warmth, clothing, laundry and showers for those in desperate circumstances.

Last year Ace provided 20,000 meals, helped 92 people off the streets and into accommodation and 36 people into rehabilitation from addiction. I have been doing some volunteering with them and the work that they do is really inspiring.

Here's a sense of impact donations can have:

£10 buys ten Ace dinners

£20 buys 40 pairs of socks

£50 buys heating for a week

£100 buys food for a week

At the moment Ace is helping between 80 and 100 people per day. The number of people coming for help has more than doubled over the last year due to the recession, job losses and a severe increase in homelessness.
