My name is Abbie Gregory, and I have a once in a life time opportunity to go to Nepal with my school to take part in world challenge in 2019. As a part of the challenge I have been set the task of raising £4000 to fund the trip. I will have the chance to hike around the mountain ranges of Nepal. But most importantly help less fortunate children in a remote village in Nepal by participating in building a school, paint murals, install water supply and even help the children learn basic English.

At this moment in time I have been doing bake sales, making geocaching containers out of recycled wood from the near by forest and selling old childhood toys to raise the money. In addition I have obtained a Saturday job where I earn money teaching children, at lonsdale swimmimg pool Mickleover Derby, from ages 2-10 the vital lesson of swimming which could one day save their lives. All of the money I earn will go towards funding the trip.

My aim from setting up this 'justgiving' page is to raise as much money as possible to acquire the £4000 total. This trip will give me the valuable lessons; of independence, responsibility and will open my eyes to how different people and cultures live. Which includes more afflicted people then myself helping me appreciate just what I have and understanding the amount of hard work but also grit determination needed to have a happy, stable, successful life.
