Story
I am currently a second year student at London South Bank University studying children's nursing. As part of the course we have to undertake a 4 week elective placement. I have chosen to do mine with the amazing Nurse Uganda charity where I will be assisting charities and programmes that are available for children and families within Uganda. This costs around £3000 per student with £1000 of this going to three charities supported by Uganda, and the remaining funding is to get us over there and work.
To fund raise for this amazing opportunity, we are walking between hospitals in central London and finishing at the Ugandan embassy on the 10th of September.
Our plan is to start the walk at St Georges hospital > Kings Hospital > Evelina Children’s hospital (Where I am based during my training) > Guy’s hospital > St Bartholomew’s hospital > Great Ormond Street Hospital > University College London Hospital > St Mary’s hospital > Chelsea and Westminster Hospital > Royal Brompton Hospital > Ugandan High commission. All in all, this comes to 21.1 miles.
All donation are gratefully received,
Thank you
