UPDATE: All praise is to Allah alone and I thank Him for giving me the ability to complete the marathon on Sunday. Allhamdulillah, I completed the marathon in 5 hours and 26 minutes. As the world watches, Burma's Rohingya Muslims are being annihilated and killed. Thousands have been slaughtered in recent days. Mothers and their children have been burnt alive, while their menfolk have been tortured and killed.

More than one million Rohingya Muslims in Burma's Arakan state are in apartheid conditions. The countryside is awash with concentration camps, the grim result of a targeted pogrom which has seen countless civilians killed and their villages burnt to the ground.

Arguably worse is the plight of those trying to flee. Thousands of women and children, in their attempt to reach to Bangladesh, are forcibly stuck at the border with no help or support.
