On the 29th July 2017, we are participating in the Tough Mudder Challenge to raise money for East Lancashire Hospice - We are doing this event in memory of my beautiful Mum, who fell asleep to fly with the Angels on the 19th February 2017.

It costs £3.5 million to run the hospice each year, with only £1 million funded by the Government - that means the Hospice relies on Volunteers to fundraise the remaining £2.5 million.
The money raised obviously goes towards patient care, alongside 'Hospice in the Community', counselling for patients and their families, the day care that is offered, and much more - ensuring an environment where everyone feels looked after and welcome.
We simply cannot thank the Staff at the Hospice enough for everything they did for our family - they soon became friends, and the support given to our family during her illness was overwhelming.

We have decided that because of everything that the Hospice did for us, and continue to do through counselling and other therapies, we will do all we can to raise money for the hospice - starting with the Tough Mudder event. The care and support we received off each member of staff was absolutely second to none, and we as a family will never be able to thank the staff enough for everything they did for my mum. My mum, Geraldine, was the rock of our family, and this is something that has left a massive hole in our lives - something that I will never be able to understand or get my head around. However, we can only move forward from this, taking our memories of our beautiful mum with us everywhere we go, and remembering the happy times.

The Adults are participating in the "Tough Mudder" event, and my sister, Jessica (11), and her friends are participating in the "Mini Mudder", a mile long muddy obstacle course.

It would be so much to the hospice if we were able to raise at least £500, and it would mean a lot for our family if we were able to help other families in memory of my beautiful mum.
