Hi everyone!

As part of my bid to become Miss Africa GB, (You can see more about that campaign here: http://www.missafricagb.com/vote) I'm putting myself through an 80km (54 miles in old money) charity cycle on Saturday 7th October. This is all part of an effort to raise money for an orphanage in Illesa Nigeria, supported by Miss Africa GB. In short, the story goes like this, a couple in Nigeria, the wonderful Mrs Felicia Odeyemi and her husband, one day decided to make a huge sacrifice for the sake of kindness, and this sacrifice was to turn their home into an orphanage. In turn, the orphanage has so far helped to transform the lives of 80 children, giving them a life that every child deserves to at least have a chance of. Now these guys might be strangers to us, living in lands far away, but we are united by our compassion, our desire to want to see change, and our ability to help bring about that change, however small it may be.
As a result, that leads us to here. Whilst my fundraiser is a drop in the ocean compared to what they have so selflessly given, as Rumi so eloquently put it, we can still be the entire ocean in that drop.
