    Story

We're climbing Slieve Donard to help Action for Deaf Youth nurture deaf children in Northern Ireland.

Action for Deaf Youth (ADY) is an amazing organisation in Northern Ireland that was set up after it was discovered that young deaf people shared feelings of isolation and a need for support. The Association felt it was time for Deaf people to speak for themselves, rather than rely on hearing people to do it for them. ADY support deaf children and young people to grow in self-confidence, to develop through positive relationships and to actively participate with their peers and communities.

ADY have provided sign language classes for deaf children and their families, and over the last few years they have also very kindly delivered these to teaching professionals who work with deaf children. These professionals would now like to give back to the organisation by pushing themselves to hike to the top of Northern Ireland's tallest mountain, Slieve Donard, on Saturday 26th June.

Please give what you can to support us in our efforts to give back to this fantastic local organisation, and all the hard work they do for our young deaf youth.
