In October I will be taking part in The Great South Run. There are many charities that do fantastic work already but I want to do something a little different.

Every day children in hospital have medications or blood taken. Nobody likes needles especially little ones. My son and I try to buy toys and colouring books throughout the year so that the nurses can give these to the children to try and make the process a little easier and less traumatic.

This time I would love to take as many toys as possible. Each toy will bring a smile to a little ones face and help make their day that little bit better.

It doesn't need to be much but if you can spare £1.00 that's one smile paid for.
