    Story

Reaching the ripe old age of 47 and having had the itch to take on a charitable challenge for some time i am pleased to have been accepted on an adventure to climb Mount Kilimanjaro with the IRFU charitable trust.

I am using my contacts in the world of sport and hospitality to help me put together a range of prizes that are well worth winning. I am asking for £100 and am targeting 100 people to assist with my target of £6000. Every donation of £100 will be entered into a raffle.

The prize collection is being put together and i am expecting alot of Hotel breaks, good lunches, some fine wine, championship golf and tickets to top end Rugby events. I have the support of a number of current and recently retired Ulster and Ireland Rugby players who are happy to help in non rugby ways - more to follow on that one.

My profession as a Hotelier has offered me access to some of the worlds top sporting teams, a privilege i am hoping to repay in some way through this trip. Having recently coached Virginia U12 girls teams, i have now signed up to assist Randalstown Rugby club with their ladies section. I am an ardent Ulster and Ireland rugby fan and had the privilege of touring to New Zealand 2017 supporting the Lions.

If the hillwalkers, personal trainers, physios, adventure equipment suppliers or fundraisers would like to assist or find out more please email me on adrianmclaughlin@icloud.com.

Folks, thanks for your support so far. Training is tipping along nicely and will ramp up a bit in the coming weeks. I am trying now to finalise the prizes for the raffle and the events that will be auctioned. Details to follow in the coming weeks but some great prizes being offered. Thanks Adrian
