    Story

In July 2009 Adrian was involved in a serious car accident which left him in a coma with machine's fighting for his life. Emergency services rushed him to Queen Elizabeth hospital whilst his family were being gathered together fearing for the worst and saying their Goodbye's. The medical team were working as hard and fast as they could to stabilise him feeling very doubtfull he wasnt going to make it.

With not having all the equipment needed they decided he had to be transferred to Addenbrookes NCCU, he was too unstable to be air lifted so it was decided he would go via Ambulance although not expecting to survive the journey.

Once arrived at Addenbrookes the medical staff waisted no time, he was wired up to every machine imaginable and the Halo fitted, he was given all the attention possible. All the family were patiently and frantically waiting for updates on his condition.

After several days and nights of being told he wasnt going to make it, Doctors starting gaining more hope he was a fighter and he wasn't going to give up.

After time he slowly started coming back to life:

    1. Flickering of the eyes, gradually a little longer every time

    2. Responding by movement of his eyebrows

    3. Movement of the right side of his body and within time the left side too

    4. Learning to breath on his own

    5. Taking his first steps with a zimmer frame

    6. Speaking without the help of a machine

    7. Coming home

    8. Having the Halo removed

Although he has been left partially brain damaged with short term memory loss Adrian and all his family still believe it's a miracle he is here today, thanks to all the help and dedication of the staff on NCCU.

As a Thank you we are holding a Great Gatsby charity evening on Saturday 21st April 2018, to raise as much funds as possible to help save the lives of others.

Please take a look at Ady's Angels Website for more details and money raised so far.
