    Story

Paulette, Orla and I are doing the Bell's Bothy Challenge to raise money for the Neil Mackenzie Trust. The challenge is to get into Bell's (camasunarie) Bothy which was kitted out by the Neil Mackenzie Trust (charity no: SC 046080) in memory of Neil. Neil was a climbing friend of mine who tragically fell to his death in January 2015 while climbing Joffre Peak in BC, Canada. His parents have set up a charity in his name to help bring young climbers to Scotland and to help them to pursue adventure and acquire the skills required to adventure in the mountains, as safely as possible. Please make a donation if you can.

We walked in to the Bothy from Elgol this October but were not organized enough to raise money in advance. At 3 months Orla was possibly the youngest person to have completed the challenge. Paulette is going be writing a blog post about it on https://theneilmackenzietrust.wordpress.com/blog/ shortly.

Aengus, Paulette - I think this is a great project, and am so pleased that you're supporting it actively like this as a way of remembering Neil. Also proud of our granddaughter!
