    Story

My 7 year old granddaughter, Ebonie Rose Musselwhite, was diagnosed with Leukaemia two and a half years ago and after many months of gruelling treatment, and a bone marrow transplant from her young brother, Ronnie, we thought that she was on the mend. But two weeks ago we discovered that the cancer had returned, and not just in her bone marrow but also in her central nervous system. This is a particularly aggressive form of cancer so new treatment is required urgently. The problem is that the only place that Ebonie can get that treatment is in America, and the cost is eye-watering - possibly as much as £400,000!
Her mum, Christine, has started a Just Giving page to try to raise some of the money, but I felt I needed to do something as well, so I'm going to use the Fifa World Cup, and in particular the England team, to try to raise support for both Ebonie and England.
The premise is simple really, every time that England score then just donate a pound to Ebonie - A Goal for Ebonie. If you feel like donating more for each goal, then that's obviously not a problem. It may not seem much, and we're putting a lot of faith in Harry Kane and co, but I have that faith and if everyone who reads this celebrates each goal with a donation to Ebonie, who knows what target we might reach.
So Come On England, let's score some Goals for Ebonie!

Thanks to everyone who donated for Ebonie, in total we raised over £3700 for all of those goals. Some of the larger amounts taken in pubs and clubs have been paid directly into Ebonie's Journey bank account, to avoid the admin charges on the Just Giving page. I'll outline every one of those on the Facebook page. Thanks again - wonderful help from loads of people

England continue to do their job - albeit with a few heart attacks along the way. A few pubs that we put donation boxes in have been doing well, so I think the true figure is around £1500. By the end, let's see if we get to £2000. Thanks to everyone who's donated, it's hugely appreciated. #comeonengland
