We are Lux Quartet, a string quartet comprised of third year undergraduates at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. We are fundraising because in March, we plan to give masterclasses and concerts to students aged 4-18 at concert halls and conservatoires in Thessaloniki, Larisa and Trikala in Greece, where our second violinist, Philip, is from. Chamber music is not that widely celebrated in Greece and is not really on the curriculum in many music schools, so we want to bring more of an awareness for it over there as it is such a huge passion of ours. We will also be giving fundraising concerts and busking in order to raise money for the trip. Any donations from a penny to a pound would be hugely appreciated!
