Technology is the way forward. We move with society or get left behind, just like our brilliant Queen, who is very much respected througout the world, for her changes, which may not have been Her majesties wish, but did it for us. Knowledge is key to everything. I strongly believe, in order for us to move forward, one must learn from yesterday, for a better today, to improve your future.
I’m not your average twenty four year old. I dont follow, i guide. I always knew i‘m different Get told i’m unique all the time.
i left home at the age off fifteen, broke out the cycle of deprivation. And always appreciate the people that have. Its not easy an road. Thats were you have different levels in society. Some give whats expected, some give more, but its the ones that exceed expectaions that make it. And them that exceed, are not your average nine to five workers.
Once Leaving behind my childhood, i moved from the small town Newport to the big city Cardiff. Told myself i‘m going to work. Never going to look back, but only learn from it, but never regret Anything i do. Even though leaving at age off fifteen i had enough money saved, from selling sweets in school which i’d buy from as bulks from a cash and carry and then sell individually at school and make profit. Arranged school prom and sold tickets and made profit £20 from each ticket sold. So that Enabled me to move out and rent myself. I sold bottle tops to companies, few small jobs here and there.
i carried on my education and found few jobs here and there to keep a roof over my head. Once turned seventeen, i wanted more from life. I knew this isn’t what i want. So i become a friends with a neighbour off mine. Because i‘m one of those that always say good morning in a lift. So become friends with a director off a hearing company.
After getting to know the director, i asked for a job. I got in and this company was making losses, when i started i was the only one there. I set up a call centre, gained work experience. And slowly the company started to build. And started to break even From doing call centre and set up by myself, i was then given the opportunity to go to university. Which, i obviously wasn‘t going to refuse Took every opportunity given. University fees all paid, car allowance, subsistances, fuel and other benefits that came with it. What more could one ask for. Once qualified as a hearing aid audiologist, i was under a new contract and the terms were to ’go were needed.’ It was brilliant. I was living a great life at the age off eighteen now, turning nineteen.
I would get the flight at six am from cardiff to scotland then drive further up north. Sometimes, driven from aberdeen right down to cardiff. I covered every corner off Britian, going north, south, east and always heading west back home. Living in a car with my suitcase, i was started to dislike like the colour purple in this particular hotel that the company always booked
I was on a income of £116k annually from the age off twenty to twenty three. They were three brilliant years. Enabled me to stay hotels like the Ritz, Claridges, Savoy, travel the world. Go to Austraila, sail to New Zealand, sit on the same bench in India that princess Diana once sat on. it enabled me to join the elite with being offered the Harrods black tier membership, Harrods Amex card, Natwest black premiere. I was living a great life and to be able to travel most of the world At a young age.
I become number one in the company, made a small company half a million was giving me a brilliant life. Until the company had its financial struggles again, was struggling to pay me my wage and this was going on for six months. I stuck through it, but the pressure was most definitaly on. As not being paid correct, having constantly tell accounts i been paid incorrect. then my diary was filling up I was getting up at four am and finishing at eleven pm. It was taking its toll, then when other colleugues would get paid but i was the only one not. Made me wonder, then just after christmas in jan 2019, i was dismissed.
Dismissed on the grounds off gross misconduct. Because i was handing paper work late. Doing my banking late. I had clients complaining. without realising, i was being pushed to work more hours from four am to eleven pm.because they couldn’t afford to pay me. I emailed several times all off which i luckily kept complaining that im not getting enough sleep and not giving my clients my 100 % now i know why all this was ignored and why i was all of a sudden working longer hours doing from three to four thousands miles a month to six thousands miles
so, after being dismissed im left with no income, not paid for almost seven months. i’m back to where i started. ive knocked every door i can for help, guidance. But, luck has run out i feel. But i know not to give up. Because somehow i know there is hope. There’s like an ‘energy‘ as such that i feel protects me. And this is just a curve ball thrown at me. And i know the best thing is to move on. But i am currently asking the company to give at least what i‘m owed for all missed income. As ive had payslips which doesnt match whats gone into account and what i was told i’d get. Rather resolve this and not have to go through hassle. However i feel lost and alone right now. Lost some of will i once had.
I really enjoy being an audiologist, because i always believed in giving And thats my kick i get Out of life. To help people, to know, i was able to improve someones quality of life. Because they were able hear the traffic again or they could hear the fire alarm and that saved their life. That to me was my high. My manager at the time used to give me bottle off champagnes and other gifts for being number one. But them sure did make me happy, yes. But you slowly start to realise there‘s more to life. And it was something i questioned myself why isn’t there anything pleasing me. Then i reaslised that when i get really happy is something that i always have been doing And thats helping and giving to be able to make a difference, i would pay for the hearing aids myself for the less unforunate clients because i knew that they‘d notice the improvement and they sure did. Ive done it always with my family when i lived at home. Take them for meals and lending members of family money. But even they turned on me when needed someone the most.
But i wish to pick myself back up, and go make a difference again. Make people hear again. And the reason i made it to number one in my last employment is because, honesty is the best policy. My clients seen that i was honest and was there to help. So they would then reccomend me to others.
So, thats a little about me. with crowdfundings help, i can set up myself and help people again. But would need the support from you.
