My name is Aidan and I am 13 years old. In the summer of 2019, I will be joining a World Challenge expedition to Uttarakhand in India along with other students from my school.

World Challenge is an organisation that gives young people the opportunity to travel to developing countries, explore the cultures and customs of the area, take part in a high altitude trek, and develop global citizenship skills by supporting local community-based projects. Past projects have included building wells and renovating classrooms in village schools and orphanages, and assisting with conservation projects to protect endangered wildlife and habitats.

I need to raise nearly £3000 to fund the entire expedition, which includes flights, equipment, insurance, etc. I hope to be able to raise most of this through various fundraising activities and by doing jobs around the place for my family and neighbours. However, I would be more than happy to receive donations from anyone who would like to support my efforts to cover the cost of this amazing expedition myself.

Any donations, big or small, will be greatly appreciated.

I will keep you up to date with my fundraising activities over the next year and a half, and send you a report on my trip and the community project we undertake on my return. This will allow you to see how your support has made a difference to real people in India who do not have many of the things we often take for granted.
