    Story

Growing up it was always myself. My mum and my Nan. We did everything together. Holidays, day trips the lot. Memories that can never be forgotten.
Mum and Nan weren't just mother and daughter, they were best friends and were practically joint at the hip.
I also had an incredibly close relationship with my Nan, living with her for the past several years I knew that she was there for me every step of the way. No matter how much of a pain I had been she would still forgive me, endlessly feed me and always give me the advice I needed. She was my rock. She was loved by everyone.

Earlier this year we got the worst news possible. My Nan had felt ill for a few months and finally she was diagnosed. Unfortunately there was nothing that anyone could do and we were told to make the most of the time she had left.
A few weeks later she was back in hospital. With the help of MacMillan she was then moved to Watford Peace Hospice so she was more comfortable.
Her room was lovely, she had her own little garden and everything. When myself and my mum wanted to stay they made us welcome and ensured we could sleep in the room with her. The staff were completely faultless and couldn't do enough to help.
Sadly on the night of June 16th, only 10 days after her birthday she sadly passed.

Although our hearts are broken and our world has crashed around us at least we know that thanks to the Peace hospice and there amazing staff she passed away comfortably, didn't suffer anymore pain and most of all wasn't alone.

Her wish was to pass the way that she did and without the help of these two charities she couldn't have done so. I feel that as a thank you not only from my family but from my Nan I would like to give something back to the people who helped us cope throughout the hardest time we have been through.

I had told my Nan I wanted to Skydive in Vegas for my Birthday, she thought i was crazy.

I have now done the Skydive and put some pictures on my Facebook.
