Experience of a lifetime

Two Air Cadets from Chichester 461 Squadron have been selected to join a team of 25 from Sussex Wing RAFAC to go to Peru in August 2018.

Cadets help at Orphanage

The cadet team will be stationed at Azul Wasi Orphanage near Cuzco in Peru for two weeks where they will be helping to improve facilities for the orphans.

The cadets are funding their own passage to Peru but also raising money for the Squadron to continue to provide amazing experiences for the Youth in West Sussex.

461 (Chichester) Squadron was formed in 1941. Based in the centre of Chichester they welcome young people aged 12 to 18, and are a terrific team offering opportunities such as regular archery sessions and competitions, climbing at our local indoor wall, and the chance to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme. Glider flights and other flying experiences are growing alongside our links with Goodwood. Cadets also represent the squadron in drill, banner and band competitions, as well as aircraft recognition, adventure training (field craft and leadership), shooting, first aid and rocketry.
