"Race to the tower- 52 mile run"

I have decided to train up, and take part in an ultra marathon of 52 miles. The event, 'Race to the Tower', will be a run on Saturday 9th/Sunday 10th of June 2018. Its been over 30 years since I last ran a single marathon, and this is two marathons back to back in one event!

The money raised through this page will enable the children of 19th Swindon Scouts to particpate in the activities/events, rather than missing out due to financial difficulties. The Scout group is based in a deprived area of Swindon. As a result our catchment area contains familes on low and very low incomes. Resulting at times the children of these families missing out on trips the group put on, due to cost. This doesn't seem fair to those children, so I would like to raise funds to reduce the prices for future events. We are entirely self-funding, and have to look at grants, cost cuttings and fundraising to keep producing programmes for the children.
